The .22 Suppressed (also known as the Krugermeier 2-2) is a silenced handgun that appears in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, featured as a DLC weapon in Hitman: Absolution, and makes a return as an unlockable in the 2016 release HITMAN™.

Background

The .22 Suppressed is a handgun based on the Ruger MK II AWC TM-Amphibian "S" integrally-suppressed weapon. Originally used by U.S. Navy SEAL's, the gun's production stopped along with the MK II with the production of the new MK III.

The weapon utilizes a built-on suppressor, making it an extremely quiet weapon. It uses .22 Long Rifle ammunition, though lacks accuracy at a long distance. The player is advised to get relatively close to the target, and aim only for the head (due to it's minimal damage).

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin

In Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, the .22 Suppressed appears in two missions, Shogun Showdown, and Terminal Hospitality. In Shogun Showdown, the player can find the weapon in the basement, along with one of the objectives, and other weapons. It is a inaccurate, weak, but quiet pistol, and should only be used as a last resort.

In Terminal Hospitality, the gun makes an appearance wielded by Agent 17 to kill Deewana Ji, and can not be obtained.

Hitman: Absolution

In Hitman: Absolution, the player can buy the .22 Suppressed (under the name "Krugermeier 2-2") for $0.99 on Steam and the PlayStation Store, and 80 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360. It comes with the Suit and Gun Collection DLC, and can not be used anywhere outside of Contracts Mode.

HITMAN™

In HITMAN™, the player can unlock the .22 Suppressed (again, under the name "Krugermeier 2-2") after reaching mastery level 20 in the mission Club 27, in Bangkok. The weapon, while more inaccurate, is as strong as all the other silenced pistols, and is more silent than the ICA19 (or its chrome variant), and the ICA Silverballer, making it one of the better pistols in the game.
