Icon-Target

Daniel Morris is a mission target in Hitman: Blood Money. He is the Republican Vice President of the United States and a member of the powerful shadow organization Alpha Zerox.

Biography[]

Background[]

Before going into politics, Daniel Morris was a CEO of a biotechnology corporation. His public stance on human cloning was to ban its legalization. Eventually, he joined the US Republican Party and gained much influence as a politician.

New Vice President[]

On March 17, 2004, Vice President of the US Spaulding Burke died in a car crash staged by the Franchise. Daniel Morris is nominated as President Tom Stewart's incumbent running mate in his second presidential election. The US Congress, presumably manipulated or threatened by the Alpha Zerox, votes Daniel Morris into power after refusing to nominate several prior candidates. Daniel Morris became the Vice President on May 15, 2004.

Political Conspiracy[]

The Alpha Zerox planned to use his new position to help with Tom Stewart's assassination. The President, who was the clear winner of the presidential race, was for the legalization of human cloning, which went against the group's plans to keep the technology for itself. With Tom Stewart's death, Daniel Morris would take his place and implement the ban on human cloning for good.

White House Contract Death[]

CIA Agent Smith hires Agent 47 to save the President from assassination. Forty-seven infiltrates the White House and kills Daniel Morris and his assassin-associate, Mark Parchezzi III.

Trivia[]

  • As the US Vice President, Daniel Morris is the most high-profile target Agent 47 has ever assassinated.
  • Daniel Morris's political career could have almost mirrored Gerald Ford's, who was never elected to be the Vice President, or the President while having been both.
  • Daniel Morris's files name is "MrX," which references Mystery Man (whose files are "MisterX") from Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. They also share slight similarities in physical appearance.

Easter Eggs[]

  • The ringtone heard from his phone in the intro scene of Amendment XXV is an electronic version of the game's main theme.

Appearances[]

Hitman: Blood Money[]

  • Amendment XXV – is one of the two targets. Walks in the White House cabinets and outside, walking Mrs. Stewart's dog, Justice, occasionally making eye contact with Mark Parchezzi III, who is in the Oval Office. Carries the Desert Eagle for personal protection.
