John "Pappy" LeBlanc was the leader of a Mississippi based gang. He was killed by Agent 47 later on in his daughter's marriage party.

Background[]

LeBlanc is an older, heavy set, Caucasian male, likely of Cajun origin, as his surname and accent indicate. He has a mole on his middle-left forehead and another mole under his right cheekbone. His hair is grey, medium-length and slicked back. At the time of his death he was wearing an off-white dress suit, (jacket open and a peach colored pocket square in the left lapel pocket), a peach colored dress shirt with matching-colored buttons (also with a left lapel pocket) and a "Kent Collar" (unbuttoned, and shown in greater detail on the loading screen), brown leather dress shoes, a black leather belt with a Confederate Flag buckle, and a gold chain around his neck. The mission loading screen actually shows a pendant of some kind hanging from the chain.

He is the leader of a drug syndicate. He is very senile and paranoid, wandering his mansion muttering conspiracy theories to himself (one pertains to cloning, maybe related to Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer). He was one of Mississippi's richest men, one resident claiming his net worth was above $400 million. He lived in a fortified mansion on a river island. He was friends with one Henrick Slackjaw, who was later interviewed for LeBlanc's front page obituary.

Family[]

Margeaux LeBlanc is his only daughter, and likely his only child as he doesn't have any other heirs. In early 2005, he lost his brother Skip Muldoon, with an open grave reserved for him on the mansion's grounds. Pappy believed a wild conspiracy was to blame for Skip's death, completely unaware that it was his own daughter's doing. In the mission Till Death Do Us Part, Margeaux, having just married Skip's son Buddy Muldoon, again enlisted 47's services, this time to eliminate her father and newly wed husband, so she can have his fortune all to herself.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike any other NPC in the game, if LeBlanc is pushed down the stairs, he will be killed instantly. This is probably due to his old age and obesity.
  • LeBlanc's interrupted behavior during the mission consists of watching television in his 2nd floor study, touring his greenhouse, visiting the family gravesite to mourn and tossing raw chicken pieces from a pail to alligators swimming in the swamps. If he returns to his room to discover his television disabled he will wait outside on the 2nd floor balcony until it is repaired.
  • Despite the importance of his daughter's wedding Le Blanc will not stop to attend the ceremony.
  • When looking over his brother's grave, he says;

Told y'all about them black helicopters. All about them round heads from Alpha Centauri, what traveled back in time to clone the Pope. Wouldn't listen, would you? Had to go and piss off the shadow government. And told y'all they was listening to everything, seeing everything, they got them cameras on us all the time. You wouldn't listen. And now? Now I gotta stand here and talk to your cold dead body under six feet of Mississippi dirt.
