The Elephant Rifle is a sniper rifle that appears in Hitman: Blood Money.

Description[]

The Elephant Rifle, as its name implies, is designed to take down elephants and other big game, and as such is very powerful, and will kill enemies with just one shot in most cases. Despite its stopping power, the scope is quite weak with low magnification, being able to zoom in one more level, and the field of the vision is still too small to be effective at long ranges. It is not as accurate as most sniper rifles in the game, but still provides a powerful long range shot. With its semi-automatic feature and extreme firepower, this is a decent rifle for ranged targets.

Trivia[]

  • It fires the second largest caliber round in the entire series, beaten only by the .50 BMG M195 rifle from Hitman 2: Silent Assassin.
  • Despite its sheer power, like other non-custom sniper rifles in the game, it has no penetration ability.
  • Some guards can be overheard talking about it, referring to it as "the boss man's big ass old elephant gun".
  • If you are wearing a guards uniform, you will be able to hold this gun and still maintain your disguise. You will however receive witnesses, since guards in the mission are technically allowed to only openly carry a Shotgun and a Six Shooter.
  • Like the SG552 and the Kazo TRG from the mission The Murder of Crows, the rifle appears in only one mission, and it is one of the hardest weapons to find in-game.
  • A picture of a woman can be seen in the receiver when examined in the pre-mission menu.
