The Minigun (also known as the "M134") is a powerful weapon that can be found in Hitman: Codename 47 and Hitman: Contracts.

Availability

Hitman: Codename 47

The minigun can be bought in the level Plutonium Runs Loose for $10,750, while ammo can be bought for $1,000 each. It can also be found in the level Say Hello to My Little Friend and in the final level, Meet Your Brother, where a minigun is found in a maintenance room.

Hitman: Contracts

One of the game's secret weapons, the minigun can be found in Asylum Aftermath carried by a patient behind a locked door. The door itself can be opened only after finishing the game. The player must acquire the item "Ort-Meyer's Keycard" from the level The Wang Fou Incident in Lee Hong's office (it is completely empty in the mission, making it easy to access, though the map isn't available) finish the game, resume with their finished game save, pick the card during the weapon selection, return to Asylum Aftermath and use the keycard to open the door.

Trivia

  • The Minigun is one of the most powerful guns in the game, and one of the heaviest. It also has the largest magazine capacity.
  • The Minigun is the first and only Hitman weapon to directly affect the player's movement, apart from scoped sniper rifles.
  • Oddly enough, the possible clone who has the Minigun in Hitman: Contracts does not seem hindered in any way by the gun's weight, going so far as running back and forth while still wielding it even though Agent 47 is slowed down considerably when carrying it. He will never fire on Agent 47, regardless of what he does.
  • In Hitman: Blood Money, it is possible to use the Minigun effect on all weapons in Agent 47's arsenal (enabling all of them with the power and firing rate) with the help of trainers.
