Mystery Man (real name unknown) is an unidentified man in a black suit. Little is known about his past other than the fact that he himself claims to have seen 47 while in Rotterdam, presumably on his hit on Rotterdam. He goes into Ort-Meyer's asylum and his cloning lab as an adviser to Sergei Zavorotko, bringing Agent 47 to his attention. Ultimately, he persuades Sergei to order an assassination on 47.
Little is known about his past other than the fact that he himself claims to have seen 47 while in Rotterdam, presumably during the events of Hitman: Codename 47. He first appears at the beginning of Silent Assassin as an advisor to Sergei, bringing Agent 47 to his attention. Ultimately, he persuades Sergei to order an assassination on 47.
It is implied towards the end of the game that the "Mystery Man" is really manipulating Sergei on the behalf of another organization and that he is the person who tips off the UN about Sergei's nuclear weapons.
Hitman: Absolution director, Tore Blystad, stated that the Mystery Man appears in Hitman: Sniper Challenge.
He can be seen (when all challenges have been completed) in a dark room through a window. If 47 shoots the window, the Mystery Man quickly looks up through the window, makes a phone call while observing 47 and leaves. If the player shoots the window, he/she gets the achievement "Mr.X". The man still has the briefcase from Silent Assassin.
While details of the Mystery Man's appearance remain unknown, a general idea can be gathered from what is shown of him. From what is seen of him, it is clear that he is Caucasian, wears a dark suit, has short black hair and a big ring on his right hand.
- His mannerisms, speech and attire is very similar to the "G-Man" in the Half Life video game series.
