- The store page for the Requiem Pack refers to the item as the "White Rubber Duck Explosive", with the following description: "More than just a distraction, this small but potent device will incinerate those unfortunate enough to interact with it."
- The explosive was initially unavailable in HITMAN™ III due to issues with the Requiem Pack and the carryover process.[1] The Pale Duck, along with the other items of the pack, was eventually reintroduced in Patch 3.20 as part of the "H1 GOTY Access Pass".[2]
- The name might be a reference to the Thin White Duke, a persona performed by David Bowie.
